The shoulder strap for three backpacks
This detachable shoulder strap carries the Bromfort, the QUER or the Brom-E on one shoulder rather than on your back. It hooks into loops that all three backpacks have. The webbing is 4 cm wide and adjustable in length. A light aluminium fastener sits at either end.

Which backpacks carry the loops
A loop is a short fitting on the backpack that the fastener grips. The strap needs 2 of them, and that settles the question of fit. Three models have them: the Bromfort, the landscape-format QUER and the Brom-E built for the Brompton Electric. On the Bromfort they sit on the back panel.

5What sits at either end
The fastener is a flat piece of light aluminium with a sprung bar across it. Press the bar open, slide the fastener into the loop on the backpack, then let the bar snap back. The other end works the same way, since the strap is built alike on both sides. That makes 2 fasteners, and on the backpack each one takes a loop of its own.
Four centimetres of black webbing
Webbing is woven strapping of the kind used on backpacks and bags. On this shoulder strap it runs black throughout and 4 cm wide. It stays a single colour, and the padding sits on the shoulder straps of the backpack.
Shorter or longer at the adjuster
The adjuster is the fitting with a centre bar, and you will find it on the webbing. Use it to set the length of the strap. In the product photos it lies beside the two fasteners. The padded shoulder straps on the backpack are unaffected, since they have an adjuster of their own.
For the walk that follows the ride
Bromfort, QUER and Brom-E are bike backpacks made for the Brompton folding bike, each one sitting in a carrier block up front. Off the bike, the padded straps take over. The shoulder strap is 4 cm wide, carries one fastener at each end and fits three backpacks. Over one shoulder the backpack becomes a shoulder bag. The strap is part of the LUMABAG range. LUMABAG is the Bremen bag brand run by Uwe Arndt.

How does the strap attach?
Through the fastener at each end, so the backpack needs 2 loops. Press the bar, slide the fastener into the loop, release the bar. Taking it off works in reverse.
Does the strap come in more than one colour?
It comes in black. That covers the webbing and the fittings alike.
How long is the wait for the strap?
Approx. 2 to 3 weeks after you order. Shipping to other countries takes approx. 3 to 6 days on top.
